Sahuaro grad Snyder, Purdue to face Cats
When Arizona opens its softball season with the Hillenbrand Invitational this week, it is likely to oppose former Sahuaro High pitcher Gina Snyder of Purdue. Arizona and the Boilermakers will meet on Saturday; Snyder is Purdue’s No. 2 pitcher after going 7-3 with a 3.45 ERA in her freshman season in the Big Ten. She lists Arizona’s 2007 NCAA championship pitcher, Taryne Mowatt, as her favorite softball player.
