Salpointe Catholic High gradΒ Donny Sands, an eighth-round pick of the Yankees, began his pro career with the New York Yankeesβ rookie league team in the Gulf Coast League last week. The Yankees moved him to third base; he hit .263 (5 for 19) in his first five games.Β
