As the teacher walkout continues into its third day, the A on "A" Mountain has been painted red. 

2. ICYMI: Kidco will remain open all week for currently registered participants

We will continue to update our list of places to take the kids this week as we receive updates. There are free, cheap and not-so cheap places on the list. 

3. Rallies will continue

#RedforEd supporters are at the Capitol building in Phoenix this morning. Organizers wanted at least 100,000 people there to greet the legislators as they arrived. Supporters were encouraged to create positive signs such as "Happy to see you" and "Have a wonderful and productive day at work."

In Tucson, supporters are encouraged to meet at 400 W. Congress Street any time between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Some schools are setting up fundraisers to help teachers and support staff that don't have paid time off. If you want to help your school's staff, reach out to your teacher to find out how. 

5. By the numbers

The Arizona Republic reports that the #RedforEd movement drew more than 50,000 people to the Capitol and closed more than 1,000 Arizona schools, which means more than 850,000 students were not in class last week.
