It's Taylor's first Pac-12 weekly honor at Arizona after he rushed for a career-high 284 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries in the Wildcats' 35-14 win over Oregon State.Β
The reigning Pac-12 co-Offensive Freshman of the Year exploded for a 284-yard performance after only averaging 64.3 in the first three games of the season against BYU, Houston and Southern Utah. Taylor's afternoon against Oregon State was also his best performance since rushing for 168 yards against Hawaii.
Washington linebacker Ben Burr-Kirven was awarded Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week, and USC's Jay Tufele was named Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week after his last-second field goal block against Washington State.Β
