The Arizona Wildcats will play the second of three scheduled overseas games on Wednesday, when they take on the “Mataro All-Stars” in Mataro, Spain. The game tips at 10:10 a.m. Tucson time, and can be viewed (for a fee) on FloHoops.com. Mataro is located about 30 minutes up the coast from Barcelona.
The UA opened its Spanish exhibition tour Sunday with a 113-44 win over a group of players known as βCombinado Valenciano.β The victory was the largest foreign exhibition win ever in program history. Freshman guard Brandon Randolph led the Wildcats in scoring with 21 points, while Dusan Ristic had 14 rebounds and Allonzo Trier added 16. Parker Jackson-Cartwright, Rawle Alkins, DeAndre Ayton, Alkins and Ristic started the opener; itβs likely that coach Sean Miller uses a similar lineup in Wednesdayβs game.
