Arizona guard Kadeem Allen (5) gets a high five from Allonzo Trier after the Wildcats 82-73 win against Colorado at McKale Center, Saturday, January 7, 2017, Tucson, Ariz. Kelly Presnell / Arizona Daily Star

Arizona senior Kadeem Allen and freshman Rawle Alkins have been invited to the NBA Combine next month, indicating Allen's draft stock is rising while giving Alkins a better chance to decide whether to leave the Wildcats or not.

Allen put up a strong performance offensively and defensively at the seniors-only Portsmouth Invitational Tournament earlier this month, while Alkins is projected as a second-round pick whether he leaves for this year's draft or the 2018 draft.

Since there are 70 combine spots and only 60 draft spots, not getting a combine opportunity is a sign a player might not get drafted. It is not known yet if sophomore Chance Comanche, who is testing the draft, or freshman Kobi Simmons, who is leaving irrevocably, have received one of the invites that went out Friday.

Because Alkins and Comanche have both entered the draft without signing with an agent, they have the option to return to school by May 24.
