No. 7 Arizona Wildcats vs. Oregon State Beavers men's college basketball

Oregon State guard Malcolm Duvivier (11) roars after an and-1 during the second half of the No. 7 Arizona Wildcats vs. Oregon State Beavers men's college basketball game on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, in Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Ore. Oregon State upset the Wildcats 58-56.

CORVALLIS, Ore. β€” Kenpom has Arizona winning by five, and the Las Vegas line is 5.5.

But Oregon State knows there’s some history that could suggest otherwise.

β€œWe talked about when, in my dad’s first year (2014-15), they beat Arizona when several walk-ons were playing big minutes,” OSU forward Tres Tinkle said of OSU's 58-56 shocker that season. β€œSo we know that we have a chance, especially with how we’ve been playing so many teams close. We know the caliber Arizona is … but we’ve just got to be more focused and come out with fire and passion and hopefully Gill Coliseum will help us as well.”

Arizona has won 10 of its last 11 against OSU but is 3-3 in its last six trips to Corvallis.

And, BTW, it’s still Gill Coliseum, after OSU reviewed potential name changes to some campus buildings because of possible racial elements. Former OSU coach Slats Gill was accused of refusing to integrate his teams, but OSU president Ed Ray said he found no evidence that Gill held or expressed discriminatory views.
