CORVALLIS โ Sean Miller said on his postgame radio show that he was โdevastatedโ by Allonzo Trierโs suspension and hoped it would be resolved soon.
He had less to say during his postgame media interview in the Gill Coliseum basement (with just the Star, the Associated Press and a UA videographer), leaving after just two minutes and seven seconds as a question about Trier was being asked.
โThank you," he said. "Iโm good. I gotta go.โ
Here was the entire transcript of Miller's postgame comments:
On whether UAโs 75-65 win over OSU was a case of getting more from others when Trier and Ira Lee (concussion) were out: โYeah. I thought our bench did a really good job for sure.โ
On whether his approach was different without the two guys: โNo.โ
On what the key in overtime was: โYou know, I thought Rawle made some really big plays.โ
On if confidence was lacking until then (Alkins had said his confidence was boosted after he hit two free throws to tie the game near the end of regulation): โRawle, he believes in himself and the 3-point shot he hit was a big one.โ
On what he thought about Saturdayโs game at Oregon: โTheyโre obviously a terrific program. Dana Altman is a great coach and weโve got our hands full.โ
On how important the win was in the race for the league title: โPretty important.โ
On the play of Emmanuel Akot, who played 25 minutes and started the overtime period: โI thought Emmanuel did a great job. Twenty five minutes and he gave us some really good defense.โ
On if UA players proved they can adapt when adversity hits: โWe have some great kids and obviously some terrific players. Tonight was one where they really stepped up.โ
On what he thought of Alex Barcello, who didnโt play in seven of eight previous games: โHe made two big shots in the first half.โ
