SAN FRANCISCO -- The Arizona Wildcats were picked to finish second behind Oregon in the Pac-12's official media poll released today before the conference's annual preseason media day.

The Wildcats received four first-place votes out of 27 voters who regularly cover the league, while Oregon received the other 23.

It is the first time since 2011-12 that the Wildcats were not picked to win the conference. That season, they lost Derrick Williams and MoMo Jones and wound up in the NIT.

However, Arizona won the league only two of the four times it was expected to in the previous four seasons. UCLA won it in 2012-13, while Oregon won it last season.

Here's the full results of the poll, with total points and first-place votes in parentheses (my picks are here and attached to this post):

1. Oregon (23) 320

2. Arizona (4) 298

3. UCLA 259

4. California 209

5. Colorado 199

6. Washington 167

7. USC 163

8. Utah 142

9. Oregon State 122

10. Stanford 119

11. ASU 78

12. Washington State 30
