The No. 8 Arizona Wildcats used a 44-point second half to defeat Cal Baptist 84-60 from McKale Center Saturday afternoon.

Five different Arizona players scored in double figures, two of which were bench players.
Azuolas Tubelis led the Cats with 19 points on 7-of-16 shooting, his fourth straight game with 15-plus points. Bennedict Mathurin scored 14, while Christian Koloko finished with 12.
Off the bench, guard Justin Kier and forward Oumar Ballo each added 10 points. Ballo and Koloko also had double-doubles, with both players sharing the court together more than in gamesβ past.

After going into the break up 40-33, Arizona scored the first nine points of the second half to take a 49-33 lead.
Tubelis started off the run with back-to-back layups, followed by a 3-pointer from point guard Kerr Kriisa. Tubelis added two free throws to make it a 9-0 run before Cal Baptist scored.
Cal Baptist had 12 offensive rebounds but zero second-chance points. Meanwhile, Arizona also had 12 boards on the offensive glass and turned it into 19 second-chance points.

Cal Baptist opened up the game shooting 5 for 5 from 3-point range, barging out to an 18-7 lead in the first four minutes. A few minutes later, Arizona went on 14-0 run to grab a 26-22 lead with 7:29 left until halftime. The Wildcats did not relinquish the lead the rest of the afternoon.

Guard Pelle Larsson had one of his better games as a Wildcat, going a perfect 3 for 3 on 3-pointers to finish with 9 points. It marks the second time this season Larsson has hit three or more 3s, (Sacramento State was the other.)

Cal Baptist knocked down its first five 3-point attempts in the first half, finishing the first 20 minutes 8 of 15 from deep. The second half was a different story, though, as the Lancers went 0 for 12 beyond the arc and Arizona was able to cruise to another win.
