Arizona freshman wing Brandon Randolph will not play in the Wildcats' exhibition game today against Chico State because of a concussion.
Randolph started UA's first exhibition game Wednesday against Eastern New Mexico but suffered the injury in practice Saturday. He may be questionable for UA's Nov. 10 opener against NAU since concussions usually require an athlete to sit out for at least a week.
The Wildcats will also be without wing Dylan Smith, who was suspended for UA's two exhibition games and the NAU game because of an unspecified violation of team rules.
However, point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright is returning Sunday from an ankle sprain that kept him out against ENMU.
Arizona will start freshman Emmanuel Akot in place of Randolph and Rawle Alkins (broken foot) on the wing, while PJC will return to the starting lineup. UA's other starters are Allonzo Trier at shooting guard, Deandre Ayton at power forward and Dusan Ristic at center.
