Five-star forward Jordan Brown announced on Twitter he will play for Nevada next season, choosing the Wolf Pack over Arizona and Cal.

Brown opted not to take his final official visit, which appeared to put the Wildcats out of contention. Brown has never visited Arizona but has visited Nevada three times unofficially and has been recruited by the Wolf Pack for three years.

Brown became the highest-rated player in any sport to commit to Nevada, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal.

Arizona attempted to land the McDonald's All-American this spring, needing more help up front. The Wildcats have only three post players as of now -- Chase Jeter, Ira Lee and Ryan Luther -- though Emmanuel Akot can play both forward spots.

The Wildcats have two scholarships still open for next season.

Nevada is two over the scholarship limit as of now but has three players testing the NBA Draft process: Jordan Carolina, Cody Martin and Caleb Martin. Caroline and the Martin twins helped lead Nevada to 29 wins and a Sweet 16 appearance in last season's NCAA Tournament.

If those three players return, and Nevada is able to trim to 13 players, the Wolf Pack could be considered a Final Four contender next season. In early rankings, ESPN has Nevada at No. 9, while Sports Illustrated has them at 11 and Sporting News has them at 14.
