Illinois announced that Riley, a Top 10 player in the class of 2025, will reclassify in order to join the Illini next season, when he'll be a teammate of former UA point guard Kylan Boswell.
Arizona has two open scholarships left for 2024-25 but UA coach Tommy Lloyd said at the Section 7 event that the Wildcats won't fill it unless "something else presents itself." The Wildcats hosted highly rated Italian prospect Dame Sarr earlier this month; Sarr is considered a 2025 prospect as of now but might be able to play college basketball in 2024-25 if interested.
