Arizona’s Caleb Love screams in celebration after a dunk during Arizona's win over Wisconsin at McKale Center on Dec. 9, 2023. Love is changing his number from 2 to 1 this season.

By posting its 2024-25 roster for the first time Wednesday evening, Arizona acknowledged that Liam Lloyd, Jackson Francois and Sven Djopmo have joined the Wildcats as walk-on guards.

Lloyd, the son of UA coach Tommy Lloyd, is a 6-5 guard who spent two seasons each at Grand Canyon and NAU before opting to play for his father as a fifth-year senior. Believed to be the first player to join three of Arizona's four Division I men's basketball programs, Lloyd averaged 6.2 points and 4.3 rebounds last season at NAU while starting 30 of 31 games.

Francois, the son of Arizona AD Desiree Reed-Francois, was a walk-on guard the past two seasons at Missouri, where his mother served as AD until Arizona hired her away in February.

Francois previously announced he would transfer from Missouri to Arizona on social media, while Tommy Lloyd said last month it was possible Liam would join the Wildcats after becoming a father last spring.

“We’re still working through all that but he’s got a lot on his plate right now,” Tommy Lloyd said.

Djopmo is a 6-2 sophomore from France who was around the program last season and has officially joined as a sophomore walk-on this season, while sophomore walk-on guard Addison Arnold has re-joined the Wildcats after spending the past two seasons on an LDS mission.

Arizona's roster also confirmed jersey numbers for newcomers Anthony Dell'Orso (3), Trey Townsend (4), Carter Bryant (9), Tobe Awaka (30) and Emmanuel Stephen (34). Of the new walkons, Lloyd will wear No. 11, Francois has No. 8 and Djopmo is No. 42.

Two returning players also switched numbers: Guard Caleb Love went from No. 2 to No. 1 -- Arnold grabbed his old No. 2 -- while walk-on Jackson Cook switched from No. 30 to No. 21. Love also is sporting a shorter haircut than last season, when he became the Pac-12 Player of the Year.

In addition, the roster posting revealed three players who gained weight since Arizona's 2023-24 roster was posted: Guard KJ Lewis went from 205 to 210, forward Henri Veesaar jumped from 225 to 235 and guard Conrad Martinez is up to 170 pounds from 165.

Walk-on redshirt freshman guard Jackson Cook grew an inch, from 6-2 to 6-3.

In all, Arizona's 2024-25 roster contains 20 players, including nine walk-ons, along with six coaches, five non-coaching staffers and two graduate assistants.
