Arizona has been open about its need to add defensive linemen and pass rushers.
Friday, the Wildcats received a commitment from one. Defensive end Nahe Sulunga announced his verbal commitment to Arizona’s 2018 recruiting class.
Sulunga, from Calabasas High School in California, decommitted from Colorado State two weeks ago, shortly after receiving an Arizona offer. He chose the Wildcats over offers from CSU, UC Davis and Wyoming. Utah and Oregon State were also said to be interested in Sulunga.
Sulunga made his announcement on Twitter.

“This journey had been nothing but true blessings coming along with friends and family and with that being said, I would like to announce my commitment to the University of Arizona,” Sulunga wrote on Twitter.
Sulunga, rated a three-star recruit by 247sports.com, is listed at 6 feet 2 inches and 252 pounds. In six games as a Calabasas senior, Sulunga registered 17 tackles, had three sacks, broke up one pass and forced one fumble.
He is the third defensive lineman to commit to Arizona’s 2018 class, joining a teammate in defensive tackle Mykee Irving
Sulunga’s addition gives Arizona 20 commitments in the 2018 class.
The UA is expected to add to its recruiting class in the weeks leading up to the early signing period.
