Observations from warmups before the No. 22 Arizona Wildcats’ game against No. 17 USC tonight at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum:
* Freshman safety Scottie Young Jr., who has missed the past two-plus games because of a knee injury, is in uniform and participated in warmups. Young worked with the second unit during the 7-on-7 period. It appears that redshirt freshman Jarrius Wallace will make his second straight start in the secondary.
* Based on early warmups, it appears tailback Nick Wilson (ankle; probable) will start – or at least play his regular role in the rotation. Wilson missed last week’s game against Washington State and most of the previous game at Cal. One play during 7-on-7 featured Wilson in the backfield with J.J. Taylor lined up in the slot.
* Although Trevor Wood (concussion) is back after sitting last week, it appears that Nathan Eldridge will remain the short snapper.
* Josh Pollack again will serve as Arizona’s punter after taking over that role last week.
* Tonight's game is scheduled to start at 7:51 p.m. on ESPN.
