Arizona Wildcats offensive lineman Keenan Walker is scheduled to appear in a Scottsdale court Aug. 9 after being charged with assault and disorderly conduct outside a nightclub.

Police cited Walker, 20, after he and another man caused a disturbance in the early morning hours of July 10, according to a report from ABC 15 in Phoenix.Β The incident occurred after both men were denied entry into the Dakota Bar in Old Town Scottsdale, according to the report.Β 

The UA is aware of the incident, a team spokesman said Tuesday. Any punishment would be handled internally.Β 

Walker is a former standout at Scottsdale Chaparral High School who missed the UA's 2015 season because of an injury. He is expected to compete for playing time in training camp, which begins Aug. 4.Β
