Arizona’s offseason theme of building a bigger, better defense continued Saturday when a beefy defensive tackle committed to the Wildcats.
Arizona received a verbal commitment from 6-foot-4, 275-pound Elijah Watson of Mountain View High in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Watson, rated a two-star prospect by Rivals, is the second defensive tackle to commit to Arizona for 2017, joining Kurtis Brown of Bakersfield, California.
Watson participated in the Wildcats’ recent junior day on the UA campus. He tweeted the news Saturday afternoon:

Defensive line might be Arizona’s biggest area of need. Coach Rich Rodriguez is determined to get enhance Arizona's size and talent in the front seven, and Watson fits that profile.
