Brandon Dawkins will make his second consecutive start at quarterback for the Arizona Wildcats in tonightโ€™s game against Hawaii at Arizona Stadium.

About 90 minutes before tonightโ€™s 8 oโ€™clock kickoff, Week 1 starter Anu Solomon was sitting on the bench with the players who are redshirting. Solomon was wearing a T-shirt and sweat pants. He did not appear to be wearing a brace for his injured left knee. He later walked around greeting other players. He did not have any sort of noticeable limp.

When the quarterbacks came out to play catch about 20 minutes later, Solomon was the only one not suited up.

Solomon hurt his knee on Sept. 7, elevating Dawkins to the starting lineup. Dawkins accounted for 320 total yards and three touchdowns in Arizonaโ€™s 31-21 victory over Grambling State last week.

A couple of notable changes on the depth chart:

* As expected, freshman J.J. Taylor is now the No. 2 tailback behind Nick Wilson. Former co-starter Orlando Bradford was dismissed from the team earlier this week.

* At the โ€œSpurโ€ safety position, freshman Tristan Cooper is listed second behind Tellas Jones. Jones is questionable because of an ankle injury. He did not play last week. Anthony Mariscal, who started last week, is No. 3 on the depth chart. Cooper played the second half against Grambling.

UPDATE: Jones is dressed. Whether he plays remains to be seen. Elsewhere in the secondary, freshman cornerback Lorenzo Burns has a brace on his left leg. Fellow freshman Isaiah Hayes, who's been playing safety, was huddling with the cornerbacks.

At receiver, Nate Phillips (shoulder) is dressed after sitting out last week. Tony Ellison (knee) also is suited up. He missed the first two weeks.
