Arizona football has returned to relevance:
UpdatedWho would've thought that this Arizona team that was preseason voted to finish dead last in the conference, is now bowl eligible and one win away from controlling its destiny in the Pac-12 South?
Thank quarterback Khalil Tate for that. Tate finished with 10-of-17 passing for 275 yards and two touchdowns. Plus, he finished with 146 yards on 13 carries, but the biggest part of Saturday night, was simply the win.
Head coach Rich Rodriguez said entering this week that the biggest focus for the Wildcats was "redemption" after losing by 62 points to the Cougars last season. And especially how this season was heading, Rodriguez told his team that if they want respect around the country and be "relevant," beating No. 15 Washington State was the way to do it.
