Observations from warmups before the Arizona Wildcats’ game against Utah at Arizona Stadium tonight (7:30 p.m., FS1):
* Tight end Trevor Wood, who has missed the past two games because of an ankle injury, participated in warmups and is expected to play. Wood is listed atop the flip-chart depth chart, but freshman Bryce Wolma lined up with the first unit during the “team” portion of warmups.
* Like Wood, defensive tackle Parker Zellers was listed as questionable because of an ankle injury. But Zellers is dressed, and it appears he will return after missing last week's game at UTEP.
* Khalil Tate seemed to be doing all the same stuff as the other Arizona quarterbacks during warmups. That wasn't the case the past two games as Tate nursed a shoulder injury.
* Based on the 7-on-7 portion of warmups, it appears that Tate will be the Wildcats' No. 2 quarterback tonight. He looks healthier than he did the past two weeks but still not quite 100 percent.
* Freshman Anthony Pandy worked with the second unit during 7-on-7 at “Will” linebacker. If that holds, three of Arizona’s top four linebackers would be true freshmen.
* Spotted before warmups: Utah linebacker Cody Ippolito talking to some of his former UA teammates, including Wood and cornerback Jace Whittaker. Ippolito transferred to Utah in the offseason.
