George Cunningham

Former Arizona Wildcat and Tucson native George Cunningham won his first PGA Tour Canada tournament on Sunday, taking home the GolfBC Championship in Kelowna, a city in British Columbia, Canada.

Cunningham shot 20-under-par through four rounds and won by two shots.

The 2018 first-team All-Pac-12 selection shot a career-low, 62 (-10), in the third round and was able to sustain the lead in the final day. Cunningham shot a 66 on Sunday.

Cunningham joined the PGA Tour Canada following his senior season at Arizona, and now has a win after three starts on the Mackenzie Tour. He made the tour April after he finished third among 132 golfers in a qualifying-school tournament in Phoenix.

Cunningham still has eight tournaments lined up between now and the first week of September.

Next up: Lethbridge Paradise Canyon Open from June 18-24 in Lethbridge, Alberta.
