The UA volleyball team had a dominating start to its season Friday, sweeping Long Island 3-0 at the Cactus Classic at McKale Center.
Game scores were 25-16, 25-10, 25-18.
Jaelyn Hodge had 13 kills and a career high .522 hitting percentage. Zyonna Fellows and Sofia Maldonado Diaz each had eight kills, while Emery Herman notched 17 assists and three blocks.
Arizona played New Mexico State later Friday. Saturday, UA hosts Alabama State at 2 p.m.
