Ex-Arizona Wildcats running back J.J. Taylor has earned an invitation to the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine, becoming the first member of UA's eligible draft class to receive an invite.
The week-long showcase takes place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis at the end of February where Taylor will be put through a variety of drills that could help improve his draft stock.Β

Listed as a redshirt junior in 2019 by the Arizona Wildcats, Taylor opted to forgo a potential senior season and enter his name into NFL draft consideration.
The 5-foot-6, 185-pound tailback is looking to become the first Wildcats running back drafted since Ka'Deem Carey got selected by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round of the 2014 draft.Β
In 40 games played as a Wildcat over four seasons, the speedy Taylor posted 3,263 rushing yards (fifth all-time in program history), averaging 5.6 yards per carry and scored 18 times on the ground. He was also an effective pass-catcher out of the backfield as he racked up 487 yards on 62 receptions with two touchdowns.
Taylor's best season come in 2018 when he finished second among running backs in the Pac-12 with 1,434 rushing yards.
