Former Salpointe Catholic High School star Bijan Robinson has released a new dijon mustard, Bijan Mustardson. Bottles will be shipped starting Tuesday.

“Can you pass me the Bijan Mustardson?”

It’s a question that could be asked at dinner tables in Texas and Tucson this fall. On Thursday, Texas Longhorns star running back and Tucson native Bijan Robinson announced that he has his very own a dijon mustard as part of the NCAA’s year-old name, image and likeness deals.

Bijan Mustardson — slogans: “It’s like a touchdown in your mouth!” and “It’ll break your mouth’s ankles!” — can be purchased at BijanMustardson.com, with shipments beginning on Tuesday. The mustard costs $7.95 for one nine-ounce bottle; $15.90 for two; and $31.50 for four. The website also plans to sell “mustard merch” soon.

A tongue-in-cheek “origin story” posted to the website describes Robinson’s life this way:

“Two things occurred to Bijan instantly upon being born. One, that the world is bright and lights can hurt your eyes when you’ve never seen them before. And two, that his purpose in this world would be to score touchdowns. And score touchdowns Bijan did.

Bijan Mustardson's label includes a sketch of a smiling Bijan Robinson.

“Throughout his formative years, Bijan scored touchdowns everywhere, mostly on the football field via football. By 2022, Bijan had scored touchdowns in every way, shape, and form. Running and receiving. Stiff arming and juking. Even occasionally passing. The only place he hadn’t scored a touchdown was his taste buds.

“So Bijan did what everyone expected Bijan to do: Create his own gourmet dijon mustard and call it Bijan Mustardson. With the help of top-quality chefs, Bijan made a mustard that was so good, it tasted like a touchdown. It was then he knew, pending production timelines, mouth touchdowns for everyone would be a mustard-purchase away.

“In August of 2022, right before football season, purely by happenstance, Bijan Mustardson hit shelves. And the rest is history. But also the future. Mostly the future.”

The grandson of football official Cleo Robinson, Robinson starred at Salpointe Catholic High School before choosing Texas over a seemingly endless selection of suitors. He enters the 2022 season as a Heisman Trophy hopeful and one of the most marketable players in college football

Robinson has an estimated NIL value of $1.6 million, according to On3.com. He currently has endorsement deals with Lamborghini Austin (car dealership), Onyx Authenticated (trading card company), Rhoback (apparel), C4 Energy (preworkout drink) and DAZN (sports entertainment platform). Robinson also had deals with Raising Cane’s, a popular chicken finger chain, Cameo and Athletic Brewing Company.

In two seasons at Texas, Robinson has rushed for 1,830 yards and scored 21 all-purpose touchdowns.

Robinson has been named the preseason Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, and is an early candidate for the Walter Camp Player of the Year, Maxwell Award, Doak Walker Award, Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award and Wuerffel Trophy.

Robinson and the Longhorns open up their season on Sept. 3 against Louisiana-Monroe in Austin.
