Tedy Bruschi is a Hall of Famer.Β
The former Arizona Wildcats defensive end has been selected for induction into the College Football of Fame, it was announced this morning at a news conference in New York City.

Bruschi will officially be inducted into the Hall of Fame in December at the National Football Foundation's annual awards dinner in New York at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.Β
He will be the fourth former Wildcat to enter the Hall of Fame joining linebacker Ricky Hunley, safety Chuck Cecil and nose tackle Rob Waldrop.
"I never played college football with this as the goal," Bruschi said this morning at the announcement. "My college football career was always about playing hard, doing the best you got and see how it went...I never really had any longterm goals of being in this prestigious class."
Bruschi was one of the main cogs of Arizona's Desert Swarm defense, which led the nation in scoring defense in 1992 and rushing defense one season later. He ended his career with 52 sacks, tied for the most in NCAA history and was a consensus All-American in 1994 and a unanimous selection the following season.Β
"I don't know who thought of Desert Swarm, but the minute we all found out about it, we all looked at each other and said 'that's pretty cool,'" Bruschi said.Β
The former Wildcat was also the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year in 1995. He then went on to have a successful 13-year career in the NFL, winning three Super Bowls.Β
