The Arizona Wildcats wound up having plenty of time to stick around the Palouse and keep thinking about their 73-70 loss at Washington State on Saturday.

Because of what appeared to be a mechanical issue with their charter flight home, the Wildcats didn't arrive back until about 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, about 24 hours after they were expected to arrive on Saturday night.Β

Arizona had taken a charter flight from Tucson directly into Pullman/Moscow Regional Airport on Friday and scheduled a return flight at about 7 p.m. Pacific Time on Saturday, shortly following their afternoon game with WSU.

No specifics were available from UA but a Sun Country 737 left Pullman/Moscow at 7:26 p.m. PT Sunday and arrived in Tucson at 10:28 p.m MT, according to Flightradar24. Once it left, the plane's flight time was just two hours and three minutes.Β
