Tedy Bruschi raises a fist in celebration at the 2023 Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl luncheon, where he was awarded the 2023 Dick Tomey Arizona Strong Award at the Tucson Convention Center on Oct. 12, 2023.

The Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl will have an over-the-air TV partner this year.

Tucson’s bowl game announced Thursday that the Dec. 30 contest at Arizona Stadium will air on The CW Network, which is available in more than 75 million U.S. homes. The CW affiliate in Tucson is Channel 58.

The Arizona Bowl also will be available on Barstool Sports’ streaming platforms.

“The CW is renowned for its commitment to delivering top-notch entertainment, and this partnership is an exciting expression of its dedication to sports fans,” Kym Adair, executive director of the Arizona Bowl, said in a news release. “Our partnership is intended to maximize the visibility and accessibility of this annual event, allowing fans from across the country to tune in and be part of the excitement that we will roll out on Dec. 30 in Southern Arizona.”

The CW broadcast will include pre- and postgame coverage. The network got into the college sports business this year as a broadcast partner with the ACC, a deal that includes 50 football and basketball broadcasts per season through 2026-27. The CW also broadcasts LIV Golf and will become the home of the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2025.

The Arizona Bowl will feature teams from the Mountain West and Mid-American conferences. The matchup will be announced Sunday.

With four undefeated teams playing in conference title games, a lot can happen in the quest to make the College Football Playoff
