Catalina Foothills hosts Mountain View in a big Division II baseball game on Wednesday night, with the loser possibly missing out on the state playoffs. Meanwhile, Rincon/University's softball team must beat Tucson High on the road to stay in the postseason picture.
In other action, Amphitheater's baseball team is hosting top-ranked, three-time defending Division IV state champion Desert Christian, needing a win to have a shot at qualifying for the state tournament. And Walden Grove's baseball team, last year's Division III state runner-up, needs to complete its game against Sahuarita and then play Palo Verde to secure a trip back to the playoffs.
