Salpointe's Lathan Ransom (8) hauls in a 24-yard score during the first quarter.

Salpointe Catholic soon-to-be junior Lathan Ransom picked up another big-time offer. This time, the Georgia Bulldogs, which is now his first SEC offer.

Ransom tweeted his offer Thursday evening.

Ransom is rated as the No. 14 safety for the 2020 class, per 247 Sports, but also played corner back during Salpointe Catholic's state title game run last season.

Ransom said in his tweet that he visited the campus in Athens and landed an offer from Georgia graduate assistant Wendel Davis. Ransom's 7-on-7 team, Tucson Turf, is competing for the Pylon National Championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta this week.

Since the end of the season, Ransom has picked up steam in his recruitment, receiving offers Arizona, ASU, Nebraska, California, Washington, Utah and Indiana.

It's also the third SEC program to offer a Lancer in 2018. Ransom's teammate, four-star running back Bijan Robinson, has offers from Alabama and LSU.
