Sunday's Tucson Association of Realtors Shootout games have all been cancelled due to inclement weather.

The Shootout, which brought in over 330 teams and 5,000 youth players from around the West, began Friday night. Tournament games and skills competitions continued Saturday.

Saturday night also marked the finale of the Shootout's Soccer Olympics.

Wet weather has been the exception at the Shootout, one of Southern Arizona's largest participatory sporting events and a community institution for nearly three decades. Tournament officials announced at 7 a.m. Sunday that all games were delayed; two hours later, with the rain not letting up, the committee and the City of Tucson made the decision to cancel all competition.Β

Winners for the final day's matches were decided by coin flip.Β

"We apologize for the unfortunate weather conditions and appreciate everyone's cooperation and understanding," the committee said in a Facebook post.Β

The 2017 Shootout was the first headquartered at Kino Stadium following decades at Fort Lowell Park. As a result, most of the events were shifted from midwotwn and the east side to Tucson's south side. Thousands of participants and parents took part in Friday's opening ceremonies and skills competitions.
