Dylan Strome scored a goal and recorded two assists, and the Tucson Roadrunners beat the Grand Rapids Griffins 3-1 Wednesday night in Michigan. The second-period goal was the first as a professional for Strome, the third pick in the 2015 NHL Draft.

Rookie defenseman Kyle Capobianco also scored his first goal, one that gave Tucson a 2-0 lead. Goaltender Hunter Miska finished with a season-high 32 saves.

The Roadrunners’ win capped a three-week road stretch that included practice time in Glendale and games in Bakerfield, California, Chicago and Grand Rapids. The team will return home Friday night for a game against the Iowa Wild. Former captain Craig Cunningham will be honored before the game.
