When is it: The Tucson Conquistadores Classic runs from Wednesday-Sunday, though the tournament itself doesn’t officially start until Friday morning. Here’s a look at the schedule:
- Wednesday: Pro-am, gates open at 7 a.m.
- Thursday: Pro-am, gates open at 7 a.m.
- Friday: First round, gates open at 9 a.m.
- Saturday: Second round, gates open at 8 a.m.
- Sunday, March 19: Final round, gates open at 8 a.m.
Tickets
- Ticket packages can be found at ConquistadoresClassic.com. Most average fans will be interested in the Desert Diamond Casino 2-for-1 package, which includes a pair of tickets to any day’s worth of competition for $35.
- Children 17 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.
- Active duty and retired military are eligible for free tickets through the Birdies for the Brave program. Visit ConquistadoresClassic.com for details.
- Parking
- Fans are allowed to park on site for the pro-am, which is held Wednesday and Thursday.
- General parking for Friday through Sunday’s rounds is at Foothills Mall’s west parking lot, on Ina Road just west of La Cholla. From there, fans can take a complimentary shuttle to the Omni Tucson National’s main gate.
- Preferred parking is open only to those who have purchased hospitality packages.
- Preferred spots are available at Pima College’s Northwest Campus.
- Will call
- The Tucson Conquistadores Classic will-call booth is at the public parking facility at Foothills Mall. Will call is open 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Friday, and from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. All orders placed during tournament week require ticket pick-up at the will-call location.
Events
- Gear up for tournament week with the annual Tucson Conquistadores Classic 5K run/walk, which will be held Sunday, March 12 at Omni Tucson National. The event starts at 7:30 a.m.
- Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day following Friday's round with a free party at the Conquistador Club Main Entrance. Proceeds from drinks purchased benefit local charities.
- The NCAA Tournament will be shown on televisions throughout the course. Tournament organizers urge fans to watch at the Conquistador Club.
- Go ahead and bring:
- Cellphones, but keep them on silent. Phone calls are allowed in designated areas.
- Folding chairs. Chairs are allowed, but the sleeves that they come in are not.
- Sunblock and rain jackets. Weather can turn quickly, even though it’s Tucson in March. Tournament organizers recommend packing sunblock and bringing something with long sleeves.
- Leave at home:
- Cameras. Photos are allowed at Wednesday and Thursday’s pro-am rounds, but are banned between Friday and Sunday.

Reminders
- Cross the Omni Tucson National course only at designated points, and never during play.
- Sit if you’re located immediately behind fairway ropes, in part so those behind you can see. Never stand in front of any spectator.
