Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, shown playing at Pebble Beach last week, is scheduled to participate in the Cologuard Classic pro-am at Omni Tucson National on Feb. 28.

One of the NFL’s premier quarterbacks will be playing in Tucson later this month.

Playing golf, that is.

Two-time MVP Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers is scheduled to play in the Cologuard Classic pro-am on Feb. 28 at Omni Tucson National.

The pro-am begins at 8 a.m. Rodgers is expected to tee off in the first group of the afternoon wave and will play with close friend and fellow Wisconsin resident Jerry Kelly. The two played together at last week’s Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Tickets to the pro-am are $20. Parking and shuttle transportation from Foothills Mall are free.

The Cologuard Classic – formerly known as the Tucson Conquistadores Classic – is set for March 2-4. Tom Lehman won the event last year.

John Daly and Vijay Singh are among the Champions Tour players scheduled to participate in this year’s tournament.
