Tucson's Carter Camper (29) takes a shot on goal against Texas during Game 4 of the second round in the Calder Cup playoffs in Cedar Park, Texas, Wednesday, May 9, 2018.

The Tucson Roadrunners announced on Monday that the franchise traded right wing Carter Camper to the Grand Rapids Griffins, the AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings.

Tucson traded Camper to the Griffins for future considerations.

The 29-year-old only played in Tucson for 15 games after he was traded from the Cleveland Monsters on Feb. 26. In his brief stint with the Roadrunners, Camper recorded 19 points and four goals, which includes one in the playoffs.

Camper was a key piece to the Roadrunners' first playoff appearance in franchise history and before he was traded to Tucson, he led the Monsters with 42 points.

Camper has been in the AHL system since 2010 and played for the Providence Bruins, Springfield Falcons, Binghamton Senators, Hershey Bears, Albany Bears before his year with Cleveland and Tucson.

The Roadrunners are coming off a historic season, winning the western conference with a 42-20 record (.662). Tucson beat the San Jose Barracuda 3-1 in the first round of playoffs, but fell to the Texas Stars in the western conference semifinals.
