Green Things
Green Things tries to host classes that teach people to enjoy gardening.
The local nursery, 3384 E. River Road, has tapped into a movement with its regular Succulent Bowls and Mimosas event. You pay just for the cost of supplies (pots start at $5 and succulents start at $2.99). The next mimosa morning is Saturday, June 23.
Creative Tribe
The main space for workshops in Creative Tribe's new home downtown.
This studio downtown, 236 S. Scott Ave., specializes in community-building experiences for women. On June 8, they'll be hosting a BYOB make-and-sip evening with tie-dye for $5. This is a good place to watch for crafty alternatives to paint parties.
Tucson Clay Co-Op

Mabel's on 4th

The cute kitchen shop on Fourth Avenue, 419 N. Fourth Ave., is hosting a mobile-making workshop on Saturday, June 16. The workshop costs $40 and includes vintage kitchen gadgets and hardware. Mabel's will hold these throughout the summer on the third Saturday of the month. Also, BYOB. More info here.
Creative Juice
James Palacios concentrates on his date-night painting of a saguaro cactus. He and his wife, Paula, had never painted before, but figured they could save some money creating their own cactus imagery.
There are paint-and-sip parties galore at this east-side studio, 6530 E. Tanque Verde Road. They provide the drinks and the expertise. You just show up. Class prices vary depending on what you're doing. More information at creativejuiceartbar.com.
Color Me Mine

Lucky Cat Social Art
Painters unleash their creativity at Lucky Cat Social Art.
The physical studio for this paint-and-sip spot in Oro Valley is closing at the end of the month, but you can still book in-home parties. While it was open, the studio offered a lot of movie-themed and trivia paint nights. Visit luckycatsocialart.com for more information.
Brush and Bottle
This is another place, 1785 E. Prince Road, that specializes in BYOB paint nights, which means there are tons of designs you can select to express your inner artiste. A two-hour class costs $35. Visit brushnbottle.com for more information.
Hues 'n' Booze

Plant Nite Tucson
The local version of a national trend organizes classes to make succulent bowls, terrariums and other plant projects at venues around Tucson. (There's also a 'Paint Nite' version of this.) For example: This dinosaur-inspired event at Even Stevens Sandwiches, 178 E. Broadway, on Tuesday June 26.
