When it comes to gift giving, there's something special about handmade.
Of course, there's also something to be said for knowing HOW to make the things.
That's where we come in.
We found six free or inexpensive classes to help you make those last minute gifts. We even found one to help the kids make something.
Kids Holiday Paint-a-Pot Class
What: You and the kids can paint pots for grandparents, teachers, aunts and uncles, or anybody that could use an adorable hand-painted pot. They don't have to be used for plants, either. Small flower pots make great pencil and pen holders on a desk.
When: Sunday, Dec. 17, 10 a.m. to noon

Holiday Jewelry Make It and Take It
What: This shop has its bead bar open for you to create bracelets, necklaces and earrings. If you need help, there's a bead expert on hand to assist you.
When: Saturday, Dec. 23, 1-3 p.m.
Where: Deco, 2612 E. Broadway
Cost: $5-$20
12 Days of Christmas at Sew Hip
What: You can stop in to this sewing shop and studio on Fridays and Saturdays to make a cute gift or two. There are lots of options to choose from such as pillowcases, headbands and wine totes.
When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays in December
Where: Sew Hip, 3400 E. Speedway
Cost: $25 (Includes materials for one project. Additional gift $10)

Paint Bar
What: Pick a piece of pottery that you'd like to paint and be creative. Instructors will provide you with paints and brushes.

Coffee Cozy Crochet
What: You'll make cute coffee cozies to keep drinks warm and hands cool. The class is for anybody from beginner to experts. Supplies provided while they last.
