Family Game Night

Leandra Hill, 8, right, talks the fine points of chess movements with friend Rebecca Hopperstad, 9, during the Youth Activity Table event, a time designed for family and kids to play games together at Woods Memorial Library, 3455 N. 1st Ave., in Tucson, AZ. Photo taken Thursday, March 12, 2015.

Woods Memorial Library is celebrating its 50th anniversary, which means it's party time.

So, wear your favorite tie-dye shirt and go celebrate.

You can listen to guest speakers, participate in a memory-gathering workshop, enjoy refreshments and check out the activity stations inside and outside the library including a classic car show and a DJ spinning hits from the 1960s.

The kids will love the hula hoop contest, bubble-making area and the craft table. There will also be a book giveaway for teens and children while supplies last and a saguaro selfie station.
