Astronomy: Star light, star bright

Tucson High is having an end-of-the-year star party on the roof, and the community is invited.

The school is celebrating because its 14-inch telescope and dome are back in operation, and of course, the fact that school's just about done for the year.

Astronomy students will be in charge of helping families look through the telescopes while members of the school's jazz group perform.

While the school has hosted star parties before, they were geared for just students.

"We are actually looking at doing this again next year with different groups each semester, a melding of art and science," said Karriaunna Scotti, Tucson High science teacher. "
