It's never too early to do some Christmas shopping. That's why the Tucson Museum of Art's holiday artisans market could not have come at a better time.
At the sprawling market in downtown Tucson you'll find fine art, jewelry, household items, ceramics and more from local artisans. There will be 126 vendors at the market, some of the participating vendors include: John Benedict,Β Nora Graf,Β Barbara Mulleneaux, John VermetteΒ andΒ George Barker. Check out the map here.
There will be a huge variety of price points. At last year's market, you could purchase home-canned preserves for $5 or furniture for $1,000. Almost all vendors accept both cash and card but it's up to the vendor, so bring both.Β
Enjoy beer and wine in the museum lobby and food from CafΓ© a la CβArt.
The event is happening all weekend so you don't have to worry about missing the fun. While you're there, check out the museum for free and see the intricate, beautiful El Nacimiento,Β by folk artist Maria Luisa TeΓ±a. It reopens atΒ La Casa CordovaΒ on Saturday at 10 a.m. with music and dancing.Β
