Kids love climbing on Tucson's celebrity, Locomotive 1673, which starred in the classic film, "Oklahoma." At Holiday Express the train will serve as a backdrop for Santa photos. And, kids can climb into the cabin.

If your kids love trains and still need to chat with Santa, take them to the 12th annual Holiday Express at the Historic Train Depot this weekend — it's free!

Ho! Ho! Ho! Santa will visit the Southern Arizona Transportation’s annual Holiday Express event Saturday.

What's more awesome than climbing up into the cab of a train, especially a celebrity one? Tucson's own Locomotive 1673, which starred in the classic film "Oklahoma" will be available to climb into. Plus, it will serve as a backdrop for those adorable Santa photos.

Not only that, with a little help from the Tucson Postal History Museum's elves, the kids can write letters to Santa at the North Pole. Don't worry. It's not too late.

There will also be singalongs to holiday favorites and live music; an arts and crafts show; new live-action displays with operating model trains; and free goodies from AMTRAK.
