Talent show auditions draw variety of performers

Catalina Foothills High School sophomore Natalie Woolf, 15, auditions for a talent show in 2011.

You may think America's got talent.

But, wait till you see Oro Valley.

The Gaslight Music Hall is hosting its own talent show — Oro Valley's Got Talent — to highlight the area's greatest performers including song, dance, magic and illusions, circus arts and more.

Performers will compete for prizes of $1,000, $500 and $250.

If you think you have what it takes to win the big bucks or just want to show off your mad skills, you can audition from 2-6 p.m. June 10.

Anyone ages 8 and over are welcome to try out.

You'll have a maximum of three minutes to set up and perform. Make sure to bring anything you need like a phone and speaker for music if you're singing or dancing or instruments (and amplification) if you're playing one.

Video submissions may be considered, but priority will be given to in-person auditions.

After that, there will be two semifinal shows, one at 6 p.m. June 24 and one July 22.

Finals and awards will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 19.
