Tucson High grad Wilhelmsen signs with RangersΒ 

In his five years with the Seattle Mariners, closerΒ Tom WilhelmsenΒ of Tucson High earned $3.34 million. Last week he agreed to a 2016 salary of $3.1 million with his new team, the Texas Rangers. It is a one-year deal for the 32-year-old right-hander. He had 13 saves in 15 chances for Seattle last year.
