Tucson is playing host to 18 Division II womenβs softball teams this weekend in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Leadoff Classic at the east sideβs Lincoln Park. It is the launch of the annual Tucson Invitational Games spring baseball/softball season in which TucsonansΒ Jim TiggasΒ and his son,Β Mark Tiggas, have arranged for 120 college softball teams to play (and spend tourist money) here mostly in March.
