Tucsonans McDaniel, McMahon finish in top 10 in Arizona Open
Tucsonansย David McDanielย andย Alex McMahon, both former Arizona Amateur champions, were strong contenders for the 71st annual Arizona Open title last week in Scottsdale. McDaniel, an ex-CDO golfer, was fourth of 156 golfers, with rounds of 67-69-71, finishing one stroke out of a playoff. He was paid $1,600. McMahon, a former Ironwood Ridge golfer who graduated from the UA in May, was tied for 10th overall. McMahon earned $900 with rounds of 73-69-69.ย
