If you have opinions, now's your chance to make them count.
You can cast your vote for governor; state positions and legislative seats; U.S. representatives and senators; and a host of propositions that affect our city in the general election, Nov. 6
So, if you still need to register to vote, want to watch the mail box for your ballot or go to early voting, here are some dates you'll want to put on the calendar.
General election deadlines
Oct. 9: Register to vote by this day. You can do that online here. Sign up for one-time mail-in ballot here. To get on the permanent early voting list, you'll have to update your voter registration.
Oct. 10: Watch your mailbox this week. Ballots by mail sent out.
Oct. 10 through Nov. 2: Early voting at select sites
Oct. 26: Last day to request a ballot by mail. Do that here
Oct. 31: Make sure to mail in your ballot by this day
Nov. 2: Last day to vote early. Go here for locations
Nov. 3 and 5: Emergency voting at select locations
Nov. 6: Election day. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
