Citrus

Donated citrus will benefit those in need who might not be able to afford to add fresh produce to their diets.

Do your trees runneth over?

If so, you can donate some of that extra citrus to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona to help feed needy families in Tucson.

Last year, more than 3,500 pounds of citrus were donated and then distributed to the hungry.

You can drop off citrus at the following locations on upcoming Saturdays in Jan., Feb. and March.

Jan. 20, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Rillito Garden Nursery, 6303 N. La Cholla Blvd.

Wells Fargo, 4669 E. Broadway

Feb. 24, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Ashley Home Furniture, 100 N. Pantano Road

Wells Fargo, 3655 E. Grant Road

March 17, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Wells Fargo, 10585 N. Oracle Road

Wells Fargo, 8951 E. Tanque Verde Road

If you can't make it to a Super Citrus Saturday event but still want to participate, you can take donations to the food bank. Click here for more info.
