Arizona assistant track coachΒ Craig Carter, who has coached All-AmericanΒ Julie LabonteΒ and OlympianΒ Jill Camarena-Williams, among others, was inducted into the Utah State University sportsΒ Hall of Fame on Friday night. He was a two-time All-America hammerΒ thrower at USU. CarterΒ was emotional during his speech on Friday, givingΒ appreciation to the lateΒ Ralph Maughan, after whom the USU track facility is named. Maughan offered Carter a scholarship even though he was married and had a child and was working for a living after his high school career.
