Arizona's Andy Lopez stands in the middle of the dugout as he keeps an eye on his players in the fourth inning at Hi Corbett Field on March 14, 2014.

Leading up to Wednesday’s national letter-of-intent day, UA baseball coach Andy Lopez is expected to sign Chicago-based pitcher Trent Johnson, one of 16 players from the Chicago Elite Training team program who will sign D-I scholarship papers Wednesday. Johnson, tabbed as Illinois’ top pitching prospect for 2015 by at least one recruiting website, was coached by ex-Wildcat and CDO infielder Phil Wright, who coached the Dorados to three state titles before moving to the Chicago area to coach and teach 10 years ago.
