Last week: Lost to Oregon 30-28

This week: at Colorado (Saturday, 5:30 p.m., Fox)

Comment: Oregon is a cut above the dregs of the conference, but a loss at home to a 3-7 team is a bad loss. For the second year in a row, the Utes have faded down the stretch. Last year, Utah lost two of its final three-regular season games, starting with that stunning double-overtime setback in Tucson. (That feels like a MILLION years ago, doesn’t it?) The 2016 Utes have lost two of their past three. Utah has proved to be a solid addition to the Pac-12, but that true breakthrough season remains elusive for Kyle Whittingham’s program.
